We are there

We are always there to help needy people. No matter whatever it is war, natural disaster or disease breakout. We are always counted by People and we never disappoint them.

We provide Education

Education is the first right of any children and Our priority is to ensure that every child is getting it. We are building schools and college throughout the World.

We remove hunger

There are still 3 billion people living in poverty. We are trying to ensure that every person on earth sleeps with a good meal. We won’t stop until we get there.

We build houses

People living under railway paths, streets, footpaths. We are constantly working to provide a home to them. We are also building orphanize, old age homes.

We cure

We hear war breaking throughout the World. We are there to cure those injured. War is something that should be never happened but it does and it’s our responsibility to cure.

We rely on People

Helping other is humanity. We can’t make it without helps from people. We are thankful to them for volunteering and giving donations. We are only able to provide help from it.

a.      Working modality of Aama Milan Kendra ,Baglung

 

The Working modality of AMK Baglung has its own  model .  The  projects are developed  targeted to  communities  people through household visit and  collect the data of this beneficiaries . Our staff  talking verbally or listening their issues and reporting  . AMK has worked in two levels as :

1.5.1  Community Level  :


AMK Baglung has been working in each Rural Municipality  targeted to community people. During the program/project implementation of UNDP, Global Fund Integrated HIV/Aids Program, FPAN, USAID funded CEDPA, World Education, AEPC/UNDP UNFPA and FHIASHA Project in field of Baglung district through the strategy of Peer educator and FCHVs. AMK has strengthen in local level coordination and linkages in health related issues and  programs. The organization has earned reputation as a leading   organization in Baglung district ( in health and women sector.

 

1.5.2 District Level :


AMK Baglung implements planned activities in joint collaboration with concerned government offices in the district such as District Development Committee (DDC), District Agriculture nd Development Office (DADO) , District Education Office ( DEO) and District Administrative Office (DAO)   etc. and other non-government organizations working in the same program municipalities and rural municipalities in Baglung. For example, to carry out any activities which are related to  Women and Children, it tries to collaborate with District Public Health Office (DPHO) and local NGOs on related activities. AMK Baglung ensures that it will not duplicate same activities implemented  by  other NGOs. AMK Baglung will share its Program activities and budget with District Coordination Committee and other concerned partners in the district to avoid duplication of the work and for the sake of transparency of the Program.

 

AMK Baglung works on supporting management and operational cost to strengthen the organizational part, development sector and health related activates such as public awareness, treatment and support. AMK funding from other donor agencies will be used solely in the Program activities. In addition, AMK will regularly meet and seek information from the sites and will share valuable advices with field staffs and also use its existing network to influence the government policy in  favor of speedy development of Baglung.

AMK is also amk Strong Coordination  networking  and partnership in the National Level ……

1.2 Implemented and ongoing project /program of Aama Milan Kendra ,Baglung.

 

In the past,  AMK worked with different funding/partner organizations including UNDP, Global Fund Integrated HIV/Aids Program, FPAN, USAID funded CEDPA, World Education, AEPC/UNDP UNFPA and FHIASHA Project. Whether it gets funding from donor organizations or not,  AMK has continuously been striving to raise voices of women, increase their access to justice and resources, and protect them from HIV/AIDS. Being associated with District and national level networks of different Government and non-government organizations, it led the we campaign in Baglung District.

From 2004 to 2010,  AMK Baglung worked with AEPC/UN/Nepal Government funded Social Mobilization Project focusing on gender equality, capital mobilization and women empowerment.

From 1998 to 2003,  AMK implemented Maternal Neonatal Health Project in Baglung District funded by USAID funded CEDPA and JHPIEGO. Similarly, from 1998 to 2006, it implemented CEDPA funded Project named Building RH Awareness among Adolescent Girls in Conflict Affected District of Nepal focusing on the rights of poor/disadvantage women and adolescent girls through awareness activities, capacity building, advocacy, education and reproductive health.

One of the largest projects  AMK Baglung implemented was Global Fund Integrated HIV/Aids Program. The project was conducted across Baglung districtfrom 2009 to 2015.. The project aimed to identify HIV/AIDS infected persons, support and cure them, and make people aware of HIV/AIDS. It also had objective to make the local bodies accountable to support the HIV/AIDS infected persons and prevent the risk of spreading HIV/Aids in the district. In order to achieve these objectives,  AMK Baglung at first conducted a research to identify HIV/AIDS infected persons in the district and prepared their profiles. Then, it established a rehabilitation center, the first in Dhaulagiri Zone, for the victims of HIV/AIDS and started providing them with free services including Counseling, VCT and STI test as well as distribution of condom, IEC materials, preventive medicines, etc. At the same time, awareness activities were carried out by establishing information centers’ at different remote areas to give people information about HIV/AIDS and safety measures to be taken.

At the end of the project, Global Fund provided  AMK Baglung with letter of appreciation for its good work and handed over goods as well as technical equipment

AMK  has good in Coordination to line agencies  such as  DACC, DPHO, RHCC, district stakeholders includes District Development Committee (DDC), Women Development Office (WDO) , NGO Federation, Civil societies, Family Planning Association of Nepal ( FPAN ) and so on. Government offices and stakeholders Government offices includes DDC, DPHO, PHC, HP, SHP, WDO, Healthministry Stakeholders includes NGO federation, civil societies, VDCs, local clubs, mother groups  etc.

 

 

 

 

1.7.2.2  Local NGOs

 

AMK will be leading  comprehensive program previously good practice, and lesion learn is great.will close co-ordination and linkages with Right Action Nepal which is strong HRBA approach and already local level partnership.  There will be strong collaboration, networking and local level partnership among these organization which will be playing a vital role to fulfil its target and give a meaningful impact or output. This program will be co-ordinating with different other local NGOs/CBOs especially focussing on Health Program. AMK will strengthen a special partnership &close relationship with Right Action Nepal to advocate human rights related to women and marginalized people.
